The organization has 35 people and includes eight CPAs, two attorneys, seven MBAs, three CLUs, one CFP®, two ChFC®s, a former bank regulator, several former bankers and bank directors, and other degrees and licenses. It includes individuals with significant BOLI and benefits administration experience as well as one of the industry’s most recognized experts on accounting and tax matters. Equias Alliance is able to benefit from the strength and support of Andesa Services, Inc. in the advancement of technology and plan administration systems for nonqualified benefits and BOLI policies. Andesa Services, Inc. provides administration services to six of the 10 largest insurance companies in the United States and is Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (“SAS 70”) Type II certified, with Statement Standards for Attestation Engagements 16 (“SSAE 16”) certification underway.
In addition, Andesa Services, Inc., the supplier of Equias Alliance’s systems and technology, has been the premier provider of services in the BOLI/COLI industry for 28 years. As of March 2011, it has 105 employees including three experienced actuaries on staff. Thirty-five percent of those employees have five or more years and 17% have 10 or more years with the company. In addition, 80% have college degrees with 22% holding post-graduate degrees.
